Higher concentrations of TKIs, such as pazopanib, are associated with improved outcomes in advanced RCC. A phase III trial failed to show disease-free survival benefit to pazopanib in the adjuvant setting, but improved DFS was seen in patients with higher C trough levels, supporting adequate drug exposure for optimal clinical outcome.
