Successful removal of a serrated lesion involving the appendiceal orifice using a traction device.
Digestive Endoscopy : Official Journal of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society 2019 Februrary 24
A 64-year-old female presented with a slightly elevated 50-mm lesion in the cecum, which was spread into the appendiceal orifice. The lesion was endoscopically diagnosed to be a sessile serrated adenoma/polyp without dysplasia. Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) was performed using a therapeutic colonoscope (PCF-Q260JI, Olympus) and a small-caliber-tip transparent hood (ST-hood DH-29CR, Fujifilm). First, hyaluronic acid and glycerol solution were submucosally injected into the normal mucosa of the appendiceal canal. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
