Aorto-umbilical fistulae in a fetus with trisomy 17 mosaicism.
Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology 2019 July 5
Arteriovenous shunts in the fetal liver are very rare vascular malformations especially when multiple, or related to aorta and umbilical vein (UV) (1,2). To the best of our knowledge, only one prenatal report involved abdominal aorta, as an aorta-porto-umbilical vein fistula (3). We communicate a case with aorta-UV communications emerging from celiac and superior mesenteric sites, and describe its features and associations. This article is protected by copyright.
