In the maxillary anterior area, the esthetic integration of prosthetic restorations is a challenge, particularly for screw-retained implant prostheses. This case report presents the management and clinical outcome of an old partial edentulous maxillary jaw in an esthetic zone in a young patient with a very limited mouth opening. This patient was rehabilitated with an implant screw-retained fixed partial denture (FPD) using both digital and conventional techniques.

This study assessed the mechanical properties and surface characteristics of dental prosthetic acrylic resin fabricated by 3D printing, comparing it with subtractive, pressing, and molding techniques. Bar-shaped specimens (N= 90; 65 × 10 × 3.3 mm; ISO:207951) were prepared and assigned into six groups: PRINT (3D printing vis stereolithography with PriZma 3D Bio Denture, Makertech Labs); SUB (subtractive manufacturing with Vipiblock Trilux, Vipi); PRESS Base (pressing using muffle with Thermo Vipi Wave, Vipi for base); PRESS Tooth (pressing with Onda-cryl, Clássico for tooth); MOLD Base (molding using addition silicone with Vipi Flash, Vipi for base); and MOLD Tooth (molding with Dencor, Clássico for tooth)...

Most edentulous patients prefer fixed restoration or detachable prostheses over conventional complete dentures. The case report aims to address and discuss the clinical and laboratory steps of implant-supported, bar-retained maxillary overdenture and mandibular implant-supported, metal-acrylic resin, screw-retained, fixed complete denture. Impression techniques and laboratory steps are discussed and demonstrated to minimize the post-fabrication or insertion complication. It lets you achieve the passive fit of the prosthesis that maintains the osseointegration by reducing stress on implants and the surrounding bone...

Background and Objectives : Despite the identified benefits of early implant loading, studies have questioned its advantages compared to delayed loading in edentulous patients. This study aimed to evaluate clinical peri-implant parameters and marginal bone loss around early placed and loaded mandibular implant overdentures with a 60-month follow-up. Materials and Methods : In this prospective cohort study, 43 patients were enrolled to receive 86 early loading sub-crestal dental implants through prosthetic guides...

Background : The anterior maxilla is challenging regarding aesthetic rehabilitation. Current bone augmentation techniques are complex and 3D-printed bioceramic bone grafts can simplify the intervention. Aim: A four-teeth defect in the anterior maxilla was reconstructed with a 3D-printed synthetic patient-specific bone graft in a staged approach for dental implant delivery. Methods : The bone graft was designed using Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) images. The bone graft was immobilized with fixation screws...

There is limited information regarding implant and prosthetic survival after osseous microvascular free flap (OMFF). This case series aims to describe the placement of short and extra short implants in osseous microvascular free flaps to support prostheses, and present an up to 40-month retrospective follow-up. Short and extra short dental implants were placed in six fibula free flaps (FFF) and in two microvascular deep circumflex iliac artery (DCIA) flaps. In total, 27 short and extra short dental implants have been placed into two different types of free flaps...

OBJECTIVES: To determine the prevalence of peri-implant diseases in patients treated in a university setting without a regular peri-implant supportive therapy schedule, and to identify the risk indicators associated with peri-implantitis. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A retrospective cohort study was made of patients with dental implants with at least 12 months of functional loading who did not receive regular peri-implant supportive therapy. Patient- and implant-related variables were retrieved, and clinical and radiological examinations were performed...

OBJECTIVES: this study aims to compare the clinical outcomes of traditional and digital crown extension guides in the aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth. Additionally, the study will analyze the differences in the results of various digital crown extension guides in anterior aesthetic restorations. METHODS: Sixty-two patients who required aesthetic restoration of their anterior teeth were selected for this study. The patients had a total of 230 anterior teeth and were randomly divided into three groups: a control group of 22 cases who received diagnostic wax-up with pressure film, an experimental group 1 of 20 cases who received 3D printed digital models with pressure film, and an experimental group 2 of 20 patients who received digital dual-positioning guides...

The null hypothesis was that there was no statistically significant difference between the two methods.
