A thyroid storm is a life-threatening endocrine emergency characterized by severe hyperthyroidism and many systemic manifestations. Prompt recognition and treatment are essential for patient survival. This study evaluates the utility of existing diagnostic criteria and scoring systems for thyroid storm.
