ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: The peeled roots, stems, and twigs of Syringa pinnatifolia Hemsl., known as Shan-Chen-Xiang (SCX) in Chinese, has the traditional effects such as anti-Khii, clearing heat and relieving pain.
