INTRODUCTION: Ocular ischemic syndrome (OIS) is a rare presentation of atherosclerotic carotid artery stenosis that can result in permanent visual loss. This severely disabling syndrome remains under diagnosed and undertreated due to lack of awareness; especially since it requires expedited multidisciplinary care.
