Diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.
The clinical records of 450 patients with ectopic pregnancy were reviewed with respect to provisional diagnosis, symptoms, findings at gynecological examination, and results of diagnostic procedures. Approximately 50% of the patients had the correct diagnosis at the time of admission. The urinary pregnancy test and curettage are not very reliable tests.
