The second report on the topic "acute hypoxia and internal intensive medicine" deals with the fundaments of the normobaric oxygen therapy. It consists of indication, forms of application and their effectiveness in different etiopathogenetic forms of acute hypoxia. Side effects of prolonged and highly concentrated oxygen application are described.
