Case report of tumoral calcinosis in a peritoneal dialysis patient with tertiary hyperparathyroidism and systemic lupus erythematosus.
Clinical Case Reports 2024 September
Tumoral calcinosis (TC) is a rare condition characterized by dystrophic calcinosis. TC in end stage kidney disease is associated with severe hyperparathyroidism. Secondary TC may necessitate medical or surgical parathyroidectomy for symptom control.
