Cardiovascular diseases are among the most common medical problems in the general population. Individuals with underlying cardiac conditions require special considerations with regard to appropriateness of dental treatment and precautions needed to deliver safe and effective care. Patients with unstable cardiac disease are at higher risk of developing complications during dental treatment.
