Letter in response to Identifying language disorder in bilingual children aged 2.5 years requires screening in both languages.

Acta Paediatrica 2020 September 28
We read with interest the study by Nayeb et al which investigated the accuracy of screening models for language disorders in bilingual children (1). While an engaging and interesting study, it does have areas for improvement. Children that were born prematurely as well as those with known disabilities were excluded from this study. Disabilities is a broad term, with a spectrum shifting between intellectual and physical disabilities.
