Response to: "Our experience of subgaleal haematoma due to hair pulling.

We read with great interest Dr. DeVito and Dr. Mankad's case of optic nerve atrophy after subgaleal hematoma caused by a hairpull (1). Orbital involvement of a subgaleal hematoma is rarely encountered, and can be vision threatening. Furthermore, proptosis from the subgaleal hematoma can cause corneal abrasions, which require emergent evaluation.
