Splenic marginal zone lymphoma leads to sinistral portal hypertension.

Sinistral portal hypertension (SPH), also known as left-sided portal hypertension, accounts for 5% of all portal hypertension (PH) cases. SPH is commonly secondary to acute or chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer and rarely secondary to peritoneal inflammatory disease, abdominal tumors or diseases of the spleen1 . Splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL) is a rare type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that originates from the lymphocytes of the splenic white pulp.
