OBJECTIVES: We aimed to explore, which muscle stiffness changes may be related to medial tibial stress syndrome (MTSS) and the correlation between the medial tibial periosteal thickness and lower leg muscle stiffness. METHODS: This study included 63 subjects distributed into 3 groups: the symptomless group, the MTSS group, and the control group.
