The spine is often difficult to evaluate clinically in children, increasing the importance of diagnostic imaging to detect a wide variety of spinal disorders ranging from congenital abnormalities to severe infections. Cerebral palsy (CP) is a developmental disorder caused by brain trauma in utero or within the first few days of life, although symptoms may not develop until early infancy. Oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs) generate differentiated mature oligodendrocytes (MOs) during development.
