Angiomyofibroblastoma is a rare benign soft tissue tumor that arises predominantly in the female genital tract. It occurs less commonly in the scrotum, spermatic cord, and the retroperitoneum. Its diagnosis is based on specific histological and immunopathological features. However, the condition has never been previously described in the extremities. We present the first case report of angiomyofibroblastoma presenting as a slow-growing tumor in the foot of a 48-year-old lady.

Angiomyofibroblastoma is a rare and benign tumor that usually involves vulvovaginal area in women of reproductive age and early menopause. We report a lipomatous angiomyofibroblastoma in a 55-year-old multigravid woman. We report a rare case of angiomyofibroblastoma (AMFB) of the vulva, composed predominantly of a mature fatty component, representing approximately 60% of the entire tumour. The tumour, designated as "lipomatous AMFB", should be interpreted as the morphological result of an unbalanced bidirectional differentiation of the presumptive precursor stromal cell resident in the hormonally-responsive stroma of the lower genital tract, with the adipocytic component overwhelming the fibroblastic/myofibroblastic one.
