Research on the acute responses to exercise in pregnancy is scarce, especially for women affected by gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). The aim of this study was to investigate responses to a single bout of exercise performed multiple times throughout the pregnancy in women diagnosed with GDM. Data from 18 pregnant women (aged: 32.8 ± 3.8) diagnosed with GDM, treated with diet only, were analyzed. Participants' pre-pregnancy body mass index was 24.4 ± 4.9 kg/m2 , 50% of them were nulliparous, and 50% of the sample regularly exercised before the pregnancy...

INTRODUCTION: Although new diagnostic abilities are being utilised increasingly yet early detection of tubal pregnancy remains a challenge. The use of highly sensitive hCG kits has facilitated the early diagnosis of a pregnancy. But it takes time to determine the localisation of the pregnancy. Early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy may reduce the morbidity of ectopic pregnancy. AIM: This study was conducted to analyse the cul-de-sac and serum βhCG ratio in tubal ectopic pregnancy cases which may be a new diagnostic approach for ectopic pregnancy...

An ectopic pregnancy developing in a previous Cesarean section scar is a rare event, and there is still a lack of information concerning the adequacy of management strategies. So far, no modality can guarantee the integrity of the uterus. We report the case of a 29-year-old woman with three Cesarean deliveries who was transferred to our hospital with a diagnosis of cervical pregnancy. Transvaginal three-dimensional power Doppler ultrasound revealed a well-encapsulated bulging mass displacing anteriorly over the lower anterior uterine wall sounding with an irregular course and branching vessels...

68 patients were transfered to the prenatal diagnosis. Both the alpa-fetorotein-estimation and the fetography or amniography were performed in 13 patients. The indication for fetography is the exclusion of neural tube defects and other serious visible defects. The amniography can especially carried out in the prenatal diagnosis of defects of intestinal tract. A program is proposed to the prenatal detection of neural tube defects: 1. Examination of all of the pregnacies with ultra sonic B scan. 2. At suspicions ultra sonic B scan and after birth of a child with neural tube defect alpha-fetoproteinestimation at the 16th week of pregnancy and fetography at the 24th week of pregnancy...
