BAKGRUNN: Migrene er en vanlig nevrologisk sykdom som medfører betydelig belastning for den enkelte som rammes, og store helseøkonomiske kostnader for samfunnet. Migrene er forbundet med økt risiko for hjerneslag. Formålet med denne artikkelen er å gi en oversikt over sammenhengen mellom migrene og hjerneslag: både hjerneinfarkt og hjerneblødning, mulige underliggende mekanismer, kliniske implikasjoner og behovet for videre forskning innen feltet. The aim of this study was to estimate the role of transcranial sonography in detecting basal ganglia changes as structural biomarkers in migraine. Transcranial sonography was performed on Aloka prosound α-10. Semiquantitative and planimetric methods were applied when basal ganglia changes were detected. BACKGROUND: Courmon street name for 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) is ecstasy. This widely abused "recreational" drug causes both an increased release of monoamine neurotransmitters, including serotonine and dopamine, and an increased reuptake inhibition of serotonin. A total of 2353 children and youths, 6-19 years old attending three primary and one secondary school situated in Poznań were examined. It was found that the overall prevalence of all types of headache (primary and secondary) in the general childhood population was 75%--1759 cases during the last 12 months.
