We report an osteoconducting magnetic 3D scaffold using Fe2+ doped nano-hydroxyapatite-Alginate-Gelatin (AGHFe1) for Magnetic Resonance Imaging based non-invasive monitoring of bone tissue regeneration. In rat cranial defect model, the scaffold facilitated non-invasive monitoring of cell migration, inflammatory response and matrix deposition by unique changes in transverse relaxation time (T2). BACKGROUND: The brake is an important safety protection device for mine hoists, in which the performance of the brake shoe affects directly the safe operation of hoisting system. In this work, mechanical alloying and electrical current-assisted sintering was adopted for in situ metal matrix composite material processing. Applied at the initial powder stage, mechanical alloying enables a homogeneous distribution of the starting elements in the proposed precursor powder blends. The accompanying precursor preparation and the structurally confirmed size reduction allow obtainment of a nanoscale range for the objects to be sintered.
