The reaction of {(HNEt3)2[Ag10(tBuC6H4S)12]}n, Ag2O, Na2MoO4 and m-methoxybenzoic acid (Hmbc) in CH3OH/CH2Cl2 led to only yellow crystals of [Ag4S4(MoO4)5@Ag66] (SD/Ag70b; SD = SunDi), but in the presence of DMF additional dark-red crystals of [Ag10@(MoO4)7@Ag60] (SD/Ag70a) were obtained. The former consists of five MoO42- wrapped by a shell of 66 Ag atoms. The latter contains a rare Ag10 kernel consisting of five tetrahedra sharing faces and edges ringed by seven MoO42- which is enclosed in a shell of 60 Ag atoms...

Traditional inorganic X-ray scintillators are designed based on several representative metal ions (e.g., Tl+ , Pb2+ , Bi3+ ) with highly emissive nature and high atomic number aiming at the outstanding radiation stopping power. The first examples of bismuth fluoride selenites with d0-TM/Te(VI) polyhedrons, namely, Bi4TiO2F4(SeO3)4 (1), Bi4NbO3F3(SeO3)4 (2), Bi4TeO4F2(TeO3)2(SeO3)2 (3), Bi2F2(MoO4)(SeO3) (4) and Bi2ZrO2F2(SeO3)2 (5) have been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal reactions by aliovalent substitution. Scheelite-type Ca1- x Mn x MoO4 ( x  = 0.0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.10 and 0.15) nanomaterials were successfully synthesized via a combustion route. Dielectric studies showed a weak n -type electrical conductivity characteristic for insulators and low relative permittivity ( ε r  < 15) decreasing with increasing Mn2+ content. CaMoO4 and Mn2+ -doped nanomaterials are chemically compatible with Al and Ag electrodes and promising for low-temperature co-fired ceramic applications. A new triple molybdate, Rb2 Ag1+3x In1-x (MoO4 )3 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.02), was found in the course of a study of the system Rb2 MoO4 -Ag2 MoO4 -In2 (MoO4 )3 and was synthesized as both powders and single crystals by solid-state reactions and spontaneous crystallization from melts. The catalysts towards the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) are the key materials for fuel cells and have stimulated continuous investigations on rational designs. Apart from the popular strategies reported, we demonstrate here a facile method resulting in a nanocomposite composed of molybdenum carbide (Mo2C) nanoparticles embedded and buried in Fe-N-doped carbon nanolayers by directly pyrolyzing the mixture of Fe2(MoO4)3 and dicyandiamide. A facile sol-gel process was used for synthesis of LiFe(MoO4 )2 microcrystals. The effects of sintering temperature on the microstructures and electrochemical performances of the as-synthesized samples were systematically investigated through XRD, SEM and electrochemical performance characterization. When sintered at 650°C, the obtained LiFe(MoO4 )2 microcrystals show regular shape and uniform size distribution with mean size of 1-2 μm. This paper presents for the first time the fabrication of dielectric ceramic parts by 3D printing without sintering. The printable paste was prepared by mixing a carefully selected amount of water-soluble Li2 MoO4 powder with water. A viscous mixture of solid ceramic particles and saturated aqueous phase was formed with a solid content of 60.0 vol.%. [NH4 Cu(OH)MoO4 ] as active photocatalyst in the decomposition of Congo Red when irradiated by UV or visible light has been prepared in an unusual ammonia/water ligand exchange reaction of [tetraamminecopper(II)] molybdate, [Cu(NH3 )4 ]MoO4 . [Cu(NH3 )4 ]MoO4 was subjected to moisture of open air at room temperature. Light blue orthorhombic [Cu(NH3 )(H2 O)3 ]MoO4 was formed in 2 days as a result of an unexpected solid/gas phase ammonia-water ligand exchange reaction.
