Microplastic (MP) concentrations were determined, for the first time, in surface sediment of seven streams around the lagoon of Bizerte (Northern Tunisia), using a saturated NaCl flotation technique. Microplastics were categorised according to type, colour and size using a stereoscopic microscope. Results showed that all sediment samples contained MPs. In this work, a thin film PET based gold electrode (PGE) glucose sensor was fabricated through ultraviolet mediated chemical plating technique. Compared with the most existing wearable thin film gold electrode sensors, the PGE-glucose sensor is simple, low cost and minimum instrumentation was required. The proposed glucose sensor revealed a sensitivity of 22.05 μA mM-1 cm-2 in a linear range from 0.02 to 1.11 mM with a low detection limit of 2.7 μM (S/N = 3). Gold nanoraspberries were synthesized by a seed-mediated synthesis with polyethylene glycol-functionalized bisphosphonates. The original structure shifted the optical absorption to infrared, revealing very efficient photothermal properties within the 2nd biological transparency window and leading to cancer cell necrosis at moderate intracellular doses and low (safe) laser power.

In the present research, the efficiency of electrolyte triggered sol-to-gel forming system of natamycin (NT) transfersomes were investigated for enhanced and prolonged ophthalmic delivery.
