Aneurysms of the bifurcation of the internal carotid artery (ICA) represent approximately 5% of intracranial aneurysms and tend to occur in younger patients.1-3 They typically have a superior orientation, in close relationship with the medial (branches of the anterior cerebral artery, segment A1) and lateral (branches of the middle cerebral artery, segment M1) lenticulostriate arteries (LSA), including recurrent artery of Heubner (RAH).
