Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF) and hemochromatosis have a complex relationship. This review explores its mechanisms, prevalence, correlations, and clinical manifestations. Hereditary hemochromatosis (HH) involves iron overload due to HFE protein mutations, while atrial fibrillation (AF) is characterized by irregular heart rhythms.
