Background: Urethral fibroepithelial polyps (FEPs) are scarce benign mesodermal tumors arising mainly from the posterior urethra in boys. FEPs are rarely reported in girls. There is no consensus regarding their etiology; however, some authors attribute their presence to abnormal mesodermal involution.
