OBJECTIVE: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of online group cognitive-behavioral therapy (GCBT) guided by the CAMALEO TOC manual in treating of adolescents with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). METHOD: A quasi-experimental study with a single group pre-posttest intervention. Over 12 weeks 11 adolescents aged 11 to 17 years with OCD received weekly online sessions of GCBT based on CAMALEO TOC manual. The Children's Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale was used to assess OCD symptoms severity, the Family accommodation scale for obsessive-compulsive disorder interviewer-rated for family accommodation, the Children's Depression Inventory to assess depression symptoms, the Revised Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale for anxiety, and the Multidimensional Student Life Satisfaction Scale to assess life satisfaction...

BACKGROUND: Bipolar disorder (BD) is a leading cause of disability-adjusted life years in young adults. Complications during prenatal periods have been associated with BD previously. The study aims to examine the association between perinatal factors and BD in order to prevent the risk of developing BD. METHODS: 3,794 subjects from the 1993 Pelotas population-based birth cohort study were included. We assessed 27 initial variables at birth and modelled BD onset at 18 and 22 years...

OBJECTIVE: As a secondary trial plan analysis, we aim to examine whether participant characteristics, measured before randomization, modified the effect of a digital intervention designed to improve depressive symptoms (CONEMO - Emotional Control) on recovery from depression that has presented a substantive impact on previous research. METHOD: Mixed logistic regression was used to explore interactions between the treatment arm and subgroups of interest, including suicidal ideation, race/color, age, gender, income, type of mobile phone, alcohol misuse, tobacco use, and diabetes/hypertension)...

OBJECTIVE: The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) is a widely used self-reported measure of depression, which was found to display only acceptable psychometric properties. Insufficient attention has been devoted to its clinimetric validity and its clinical utility is still debated, particularly when used for assessing depression severity. This is the first study testing PHQ-9 construct validity and clinical utility based on clinimetric principles. METHODS: An online survey involving a sample of 3,398 participants was conducted...

METHODS: We selected a random sample of 748 students for ADHD screening from a population of around 43000 primary school students. The Swanson, Nolan, and Pelham Rating Scale version IV (SNAP-IV scale) was applied to both parents and teachers. OBJECTIVES: The advancement of neuroimaging and genetic research has revealed the presence of morphological abnormalities and numerous risk genes, along with their associations. METHODS: The cortical thickness of 129 schizophrenia patients, 42 unaffected siblings of patients and 112 healthy controls was measured, and the candidate genes were sequenced. Comparisons of cortical thickness (including 68 regions of Desikan-Kiliany atlas) and genetic variants (within 108 risk genes for schizophrenia) among the three groups were made, and correlation analyses were performed between cortical thickness, clinical symptoms, cognitive tests like N-back and logical memory test and genetic variants...
