BACKGROUND: Given the importance of infancy for establishing growth trajectories, with later-life health consequences, we investigated longitudinal body composition among infants from six economically and ethnically diverse countries. METHODS: We recruited mother-infant dyads using the WHO Multicenter Growth Reference Study criteria.
